In A Different Life

What if the demon known as Anthony J. Crowley had never fallen? What if he still walked the Earth, but as an angel-- one who'd never been dragged down by 'the wrong sort', one who made flowers and greenery grow rather than just encouraging heart attacks and ulcers? What if he had come here from an entirely different version of Earth-- a topsy-turvy one where Heaven and Hell were at war with each other and themselves, where the Apocalypse really had taken place, and which no longer existed for him to return to?

Ask Heavenly field agent Keruvael. It's his story, after all.

He is one of four survivors from an alternate Earth where Armageddon did take place, leading that dimension’s Adam to destroy their world and send the few who tried to save Creation to a place where they could have a second chance: namely, our Earth (or at least the one Good Omens takes place on).

In that doomed timeline, Aziraphale fell while Crowley didn’t, and therefore took on the role on his Earth that Crowley plays in the canonverse. Keruvael is that world’s Crowley.

While much mellower on the whole than his demon counterparts, Keru (as he is familiarly called by his friends and/or lovers) is certainly no innocent; Heaven as he knew it was a much harsher place than the one our world harbors, and he’s got more than his fair share of scars, mental, emotional and physical alike. Despite his harsh experiences, however, he retains all the serenity, mild manners, agreeableness and good humor that one could expect from any angel.

Here in our world, he runs a plant nursery that serves much the same purpose as Aziraphale’s bookshop (a.k.a. a convenient place to store his own extensive collection) and tries his best to not sell any plants and relate as best he can to both the angels and the demons of this Earth, many of whom he knew as different people in his original home.
